Ductless Air Conditioning

Ductless air-conditioners and heat-pumps are the perfect solution for homes, vacation homes, restaurants, computer rooms, convenience stores and other small to medium size residential and commercial buildings where a ductless solution is more cost effective and easier to install. Ductless systems cool or heat without traditional ductwork. Ductless systems have three components:

• Indoor air handling unit(s), usually installed on an exterior wall close to the ceiling or are recessed into the ceiling or wall
• Outdoor condenser unit
• Refrigerant lines between the outdoor condenser and the indoor air handling unit(s)

Installation is as simple as mounting the indoor and outdoor units, connecting 10cm refrigerant lines, and making a few electrical connections.

Ductless Versus Window Air Conditioning Units

Window air conditioners...

• are noisy when they cycle on
• block natural sunlight and your view of the outdoors
• are an open invitation for burglars and intruders
• should be installed every summer and stored every winter
• are unattractive, sweaty and do not add value to your property
• typically only cool and can not be used to heat

In contrast, ductless systems are whisper quiet, stylish, compact, secure, easy to install and add value to your property. If you don't have ductwork then a ductless system is the solution.

When You Need More Capacity

Ductless systems are also perfect for computer rooms, restaurant kitchens, enclosed porches and other areas that require extra cooling or heating. Replacing or upgrading an existing HVAC system to provide more capacity for a few spaces that require additional cooling and heating is often not as cost effective a solution as installing a ductless system for these areas.
